The instructions were terrible. I have lots of experience putting together flat box furniture and rarely have problems. I had to take this one apart and put it back together because the instructions are not clear. Be sure you orient the front facing of pieces before you put them together. Some parts can only orient one way, but there are a few that can orient either way. The instructions make no indication. Other than that, it is a nice unit, fits perfectly where I wanted it, and it is good quality. All the pieces matched up perfectly, and it is very sturdy
