I was prepared for something mediocre because this was so cheap, but I am pleasantly surprised by the quality, ease of assembly, and efficient directions and packaging that I received. The pieces were much stronger than I expected, the screw holes were perfectly aligned and the hardware went in easily. There was even a mini/ratchet included for assembly in addition to the typical hex tool I am accustomed to recieving with other assemble/yourself furniture. The legs are solid and large, there is an additional metal center beam to provide additional support and the velcro edged slats are genius. They layed down so easily and the velcro held them in place so there was no battle to keep them from slipping off the edge before the others are in place.there is even two dowels that align with two holes on the first slat so that you can correctly position and begin laying each section of slat. So glad I bought this.I was actually worried because the price was so reasonable but now Im glad I bought it. In a few of the reviews I saw that there were some breaks at stress points, but after assembling this in the middle of my room I feel that possibly some people had tried to push the bed into place. Because this bed is so sturdy and slightly heavy, I could see that it would put up some resistance if pushed especially if there were a mattress on top. We lifted and carried the bed into place before placing the mattress on top and it offers little to no movement even with two adults using it.
