Bought the daybed for my older daughter. Did not assemble the trundle because I didn't need the trundle. The daybed exceeded my expectations. The black metal with leather combo gives the room a modern industrial feel which is what I was going for. The bed is extremely sturdy. It was not difficult to assemble. Purchased a 11mattress (no box spring) which works great with the bed. I might purchase a 2nd bed for another bedroom because the storage underneath the bed (without the trundle) helps to declutter a small bedroom. No regrets.
