Gave more space to a very small bedroom nicely. Fits an 8" thick mattress perfectly. Enough room between the mattress and the ceiling to sit up comfortably. A little shakey while climbing the ladder, but sturdy enough not to interrupt your sleeping. I was able to fit a larger size L shaped desk, office chair, and easel comfortably underneath. May have to tighten the screws every once in a while but overall really practical.
