It does come in a few deliveries so when you only get the chair, know more should be on the way! The assembly directions where fairly clear and ready didnt need them. The little wrench is pretty handy though some design ideas were questionable and could have been better placed. There were a few pre-drilled holes that were missed so I pulled out the drill and made my own. So I did need more tools than what was sent. Overall I am pleased with this purchase. It is pretty comfy through it does slide apart easily, I wish it could hook together somehow. I bought the cover in hopes we can get a few good years out of it!
