Nice French design chair with good solid weight limit, wide enough seat for heavy set.
really needs to tighten a few quality control items less some customers get angry because they opted for something not needed. I'd hope if you added the hundred dollar assembly charge it would be rejected at checkout, but I'm not sure that's the case. You might be back online after the chair arrives trying to explain why you needed a refund. This is not the first product I've seen this way. The chair is fully assembled, I hope the 100 bucks extra you might pay if you chose assembly is not just for taking it out of the box. Anyway, it's nice to get something fully assembled, as some chairs are a bit of a pain to assemble. I think must use the value to set the price of assembly, which is wrong it itself. The vendor should be able to vouch for complexity. I've had some items that took me and a friend half a day to assemble, that cost barely a hundred bucks, and others that cost similar, but took ten minutes, and I could do it myself. It's not like you're going to make friends with the assembler if he has to work 4 hours to make 50 bucks, or that he's going to give you a discount because he took 10 minutes.
All that said this chair is assembled, and its very nice. If you have an elegant sitting room or living area this kind of theme will hold the expensive illusion of wealth. Plus, it's comfortable to sit in and sturdy to boot. Given the type of construction I don't see it falling apart or becoming unsteady due to loose screws and such for many chairs, and it's an attractive almost timeless design. My folks had something similar, so it my aunt in Houston, my brother had something like this, and so did my cousins out in the country. It may be French, but it's well adopted to US decor. Recommended, just don't opt for the assembly, it's already done.
