I would not recommend this. It is very cute but the base is not big enough or heavy enough. My cat pulls it over when she scratches. She doesnt use it in a weird way and she isnt large, she is only 8 lbs. I have to wedge the scratcher under a bookshelf for her to be able to use it safely.
