I put this together by myself. Took a bit longer. Once finished it is very sturdy, quiet. Make sure you use ALL the parts or it might well be a little noisy. The mattress support parts rattle if you don't use all the parts. As others have said, the steps do need some sort of coverings. I used 1/2" pipe insulation you can get at any hardware store. I used the 8" "Memory Foam Mattress" sold by with this, worked very well. I would recommend this bed frame to anyone that wants extra floor space in their room.
