Preassembled / nice convenience. Just had to put wheels on. Instructions were very good. First we thought we had to drill holes but there is a rather ingenious metal plate for both back wheels that is used. Top and middle drawer locks. Bottom drawer does not. Drawers have bottoms and built in racks for hanging files. Bottom of drawer could hold light items / (metal is not real heavy weight). Only reason for 4 on sturdiness is because its a light weight metal. But, for home use its perfect. Will give me years of service. Nice finish. Arrived without a mar on it.
I took one star off over was disappointed there isnt a black pencil tray inside the top drawer Its shown in the picture / and looks like it would slide . There are holes in the side of the drawer and pencils will fall out without a tray.
