First off, right out of the box I could see some dents and scratches, that as a former FedEX employee I can tell you almost definitely came from the shipping/handling process. I would suggest an extra layer of the light foam padding around the product to prevent this. Its already wrapped around the ends, but covering the whole product in it rather than just a plastic bag would do a lot to prevent it.
Bought this so that my box/spring/mattress were not simply sitting on the floor. That I could throw away the old dusty, stinky box/spring was a bonus to buying it, and Im happy I did so far. Setting up took about 40 minutes, and was straight forward and easy with the provided instructions. doesnt squeak, squeal or make much noise on its own, but I went out and bought some of the very same noise preventing tape that is wrapped around some pieces already. (lightweight very thin foam, almost like weatherstripping) and wrapped it around the parts that would be in contact with the wall and every surface that would be in contact with my mattress. The result so far? Still no noise and Im damn certain it wont smack or dent my wall any worse than the dirty old box spring did.
