I am a woman over 65 and it took me less than an hour to assemble. It was very heavy in the box but I solved that by opening on porch and carrying it inside one piece at a time. Instructions were fabulous and there were exactly the number of parts needed so no waste. This company has it together. Even the backing is extraordinary and is very sturdy, unlike other things like bookcases I have assembled. The bench cushion is attached if you want by two Velcro strips so it wont shift. I bought this for my grandsons and their toys. Cant say enough good things about it. I wanted to post pictures by is not working well
