The individual pieces of this unit came packaged with great care to not break or scratch during transit. Its really too bad the construction of this unit is so poorly thought out and the instructions extremely difficult to figure out. I have put together many pieces of furniture of all kinds and this is the worst. parts of the wood split during construction and will have to resort to glue to keep the bottom shelf on the support. Its too much trouble to take apart and return at this point and my use for it will be minimal. So Ill keep it for now, but not forever. I would pass on this and look at something else. And it takes 2 people to put this seemingly simple console together.
