We sarted buying this bedroom suit about a year ago. My wife saw the vanity and loved it so it started with that piece. Later we bought the queen bed and tall dresser. None of these items were purchased through .
We recently found these night stands on and they were cheaper than other ways to purchase so we decided to order 2 of them. I read the reviews others had written about having to repair or return damaged items but we rolled the dice and it didnt turn out so well.
I got one stand and then the other stand 2 days later. The first stand was undamaged, but when I tried to assemble the base, none of the pre/ drilled holes lined up and the base was wider than the stand. The dowel pins didnt line up with the predrilled holes either. After looking things over and reading another review from someone who had the same issue, i decided to try to make it work. My wife said as long as it looks good from the front, it will be fine.
First, I had to cut the dowel pins off so the base could sit flush against bottom of stand. I then started with one hole I could line up and put bolts in on each base side. I then had to pull the other end of the base into place to get those bolts in. The center holes didnt align at all at that point, so i left those 2 bolts out. I then drilled 2 small holes along the edge where the center bolts would have been and shot a couple of wood screws in on both sides. The back of the base sticks out from under the stand about an inch.
After sitting the stand upright and putting it in place, it looked great and is sturdy so I see no further issues with that one. You cant tell the back of base sticks out past the stand unless you look directly behind it.
The 2nd stand arrived 2 days later (today) and the box is damaged as well as the top of the nightstand in two places. No repairing this one so its being returned for a refund and I will order it from a local furniture store, even though it will cost a little more.
Hopefully you can look at the pics along with reading this review and see the repair and the damage.
I will not order furniture again through , as it is delivered by UPS and furniture is heavy. It needs to be handled gently, not tossed around like a sack of potatoes.
Also, the manufacturer needs to take a serious look at the process of drilling the holes for the base and to ensure they align and checking that base measurements are correct, since this seems to be a common problem.
