Item needs two people to put together. It is very comfortable. I bought a foam mattress online for $130 and it is perfect with it (no solid hard base was needed). It does squeak and wobble but once you are laying down, its not so bad. I think more mounting connections are needed and maybe some WD40. For the price, you get good sleep, it looks nice, and you can fit a desk underneath.
