It took some to assemble, a day by myself. (Lady, petite)
It is sturdy enough for my toddler, cut a couple of inches off the bottom of the legs to give her some head room in a low ceiling area. Even after taking 3 off, the Barbie Dream house fits nicely under the bed. My complaint would be the color. The color is very grey, not silver at all. Ill eventually spray paint it to make it look cuter. The ladder rungs are thin and dig in to your feet. I purchased some pipe insulation at the hardware store and slipped over the rungs. Helps. It does the trick for the price.
