It was easy to assemble/ grandson loved his first big boy bed! It is very sturdy and great color to grow with for a boy. We did put a layer of plywood / in addition to the square dowels supporting the mattress because the big kid mesh railing we added did not have support. He is active and rolls around/ prevent him rolling out of bed. Its so pretty
