Worth it for the money, but casual furniture assembler beware!

First, this is cheap for bunk beds. I mean in terms of price and in terms of quality. For what we paid I cant complain. The package was mislabeled with a much lower weight than it actually was, which meant the delivery agent had a hard time with it. It was delayed heavily on the original ETA. The box was pretty torn up on arrival but the pieces inside were ok. This was probably 150 lbs or more in one big box and they should have used two people or a hand truck to deliver it. If you cant lift and drag over 100 lbs then get a helper. The bed looks nice from a few feet away but any closer you can see the lack of quality. This has the worlds thinnest single coat of dark stain sprayed on it. After assembly as the pieces start to slightly bend and settle you can see cracks forming around any knots in the wood which there are many. These cracks are bright and stand out because of the thin coating of stain which didnt permeate the wood. Now its been up a few weeks and has gotten very wobbly on the top bunk. The way it goes together is the top bunk has corner posts that have a female end on the bottom and take 4 large peg pieces. You can simply lift the top bunk off the bottom bunk without any disassembly. Its not secured. One cool thing is you can set that top bunk on the floor with nothing needing to be added or removed. And it sits just as high as the bottom bunk so this really could also be sold as 2 beds. This took me about 12 hours to put together but with wife kids and dogs distracting me. I used a drill on a lower torque setting with an Allen driver bit, though it said not to. If you do this by hand youre just not going to be able too there are about 200 Allen screws/bolts. You need power tools or arms of steel to get through this. I highly recommend using a drill. Also, instructions do come in the package. I didnt see any at first and wasted 50 sheets of printer paper finding the instructions online and printing them. Overall not excited about the quality or assembly process BUT this was a fraction of the price of a high quality bunk bed and it does the job.
