I know this product is listed as a coffee grinder, but I have always thought outside the box. I purchased this item for a Pepper Grinder.
The hopper holds a lot of perrercorns. The rotating ring that secures the hopper rotates easy, a little to easy for me, so I secure it with a small piece of clear tape.
The bottom of the grinder has a larger screw on outer catch cup and a smaller inner cup that is perfect for catching ground pepper whether you are scooping out a teaspoon or a tablespoon.
The hourglass shape of the grinder makes it easy to hold down and the long grinding handle gives the leverage needed for quickly grinding even to very fine. There are several selections for grind from a powder to very course.
I personally use an electric coffee grinder for coffee, but this one should do, but would be pretty slow and a lot of work for me to fine grind a pound of coffee beans, so I will pass on that one.
As far as longevity, I have been using this grinder for a few months and it continues to work well. This my second purchase, this one for White Peppercorns.
