Ok, I paid my son to put it together because I had to work and I wanted it set up right away. He said overall it was pretty easy and he didnt hand me a bunch of leftover parts, so that seems to be a good thing. This was also a good teaching lesson for him to learn how to put things together. (He is a teenager).
It is a decent height if you have a standard height bed. If your bed is the height where a short person needs a minitramp to jump into bed, you might find this too short.
I have it in my room and it is nice that there is room on top for essentials (kleenex, remote, charging watch and phone, bottle of water...) The 2 drawers, while not very deep, are good to keep those random things - nail file, notepad, pens, tylenol.
I like the shelf at the bottom, I have dog treats, and a couple of books and there is still room if I need people treats too. I dont use the "mood lighting" but I think it can make for a good nightlight. Which, upon thinking, would be good in a guestroom too, to help guests make their way around.
Overall, it is a nice-looking product, easy to assemble, and does what it states it would do!
