This bed has emitted a very strong smell since we opened the box, and its been several weeks, we can still smell it. I have used fan to blow towards it every day to help to air out the odor, but the smell lingers. Im worried if the smell is off gassing containing toxic chemicals such as formaldehyde. Since its made outside of the US, I wonder if the manufacturer really complied with the US laws to reduce toxic chemicals during the manufacturing. My child likes the bed, but Im really concerned about the potential toxic effect of off gassing from this bed. Now I have to force my child to stay out of this room until the smell is gone, which is a big struggle. I didnt read any similar comments in the reviews before I bought this bed, so Id like to share this with potential customers. Money good to have.
