It took me FOREVER to find a carrier to fit the dimension restrictions for in-cabin pet travel with Southwest Airlines. I finally found this one, and it did not disappoint! My puppy is a 16-week-old JRT mix. She is a bundle of energy, very smart, and very destructive. Being so young, this is also her first experience in any kind of travel carrier at all, let alone on a plane. We got this carrier about a week in advance to get her used to it. She was not into it at first AT ALL. This was expected. She whined and barked and, most importantly, scratched the heck out of the mesh sides of the carrier. I was soooo pleasantly surprised to find that, despite her relentless scratching, the mesh sides remained completely intact. Not even frayed. Because of this, I was able to leave her in the carrier long enough for her to get used to it. Now it’s like a safe space for her and she takes her naps in it!! Great quality carrier for the price, very light weight, sturdy, and comfortable. Would definitely recommend for any dog under 10 pounds. After reading other reviews, I was also concerned that the carrier would be too small. It was actually much roomier than expected!
