With an expansive base that has a large footprint, these stools are pretty stable. The padding that is on them is soft, yet firm, providing decent comfort. Assembly wasnt difficult at all and very straightforward. I would be mindful of their white color which may be susceptible to dirt, but they look great, especially in a white/themed kitchen.
