Materials look great. I love . However, it had a big split at the screw by the lid, and I was also missing the piece to separate the inside compartment. I returned the item the day received. As to assembly, I did not assemble, but it certainly looks like it would be a straightforward task and very fast. I am going to buy a similar bench from a different manufacturer. I hope it is not split and all materials are included. I ended up buying the Ollieroo Shoe Rack 2 Tier Natural Shoe Rack Bench Organizer and Foot Stool with Storage Drawer on Top.
