I received this bed this week and admit, I am impressed, it took me less than 45 mins to assemble, and for furniture out of a box with a hex, its seriously solid, the only hint it it was built is that upholstered sides of the platform have a seam where the pieces join up. It even comes with a small hex screw wratchet in addition to the L wrench, which helps you really bolt it together. Once done and u roll out the slats to create the platform (the slats are rolled up on a Velcro ribbon, which keeps them even spaced and held to the outer rim of the frame) the thing is extremely solid and rigid, no squeaks to flexing, the only sound it makes is the crunch of the Velcro the first time u sit on the mattress above it, and once the Velcro is seated its silence and solid. The upholstery is nice, reminds me of a headboard in a hotel ( think mid line hotel, not the ritz). If youre looking for something simple, nice, and solid for low cost, this is a good bet (the jury is still out in the mattress, but even if I dump that, Im going to keep the bed and put a new mattress on it) Note: to smaller folks out there, the box is about 120lbs of dead weight as the bed is actually inside the back of the headboard in parts, if u cant move 120lbs even by sliding it along, get a friend to help u on delivery day) Space saver.
