Not so bad. i was a little nervous about buying these after reading the reviews, but i took the chance and am very happy i did.
these things are easy to assemble, i did it by myself. it did take a while, but you have to remember that this is a bed with a headboard and drawers. so you should expect to spend a couple of hours doing this. once assembled these beds are very heavy and very sturdy. both of my kids love them. the reviews on here saying they are poor quality or impossible to assemble correctly are unfounded. if you have the basic skill level of a 6th grader and can read and follow instructions, you wont have any problem.
the drawers are quite large and hold a ton of clothes.
