It is solid beautiful wood. Very good quality. Lots of storage. A bit of work to put together because there are a ton of screws but the instructions are very good and easy to understand and all pieces are marked. My only complaint is the slide out nightstand. The way it slides is cheesy given the craftsmanship of everything else and they are very small. Otherwise I am very happy with this purchase. Buying another !
