Putting this thing together is simple, but I did it alone so it was not fast. Took me somewhere between 2-3 hours, but a big part of that is that I put the foot of the bed in upside down and had to take it apart. Its very easy to understand the instructions, though and I was pleased to see how few steps there are. Im not great at putting stuff together, though, and I figured it out so youll be fine. You only need a philips head screwdriver, and Id recommend having a soft mallet if the dowels have trouble fitting (I used a hammer and a piece of metal to dampen the blow.)
Im happy with it so far, but Ive only slept on it one night. It looks pretty good though and seems like its good quality (I mean, its just metal.) Im just leaving it untreated b/c I dont care, but itd definitely be nicer with a stain. Looks cool without it though.
I wound up buying an all metal frame b/c I wanted an bed and there were so many reviews about bed bugs for other beds w/ any cloth, and thats not at all something Im interested in risking. There was no drama with this thing and it came packaged fine. Weighed about 70 pounds I think, so its awkward to move but I got it inside (no stairs) by myself without much trouble.
One of the heavy duty screws was bent so I thought I was going to have to get a replacement, but I was able to make it work. Itd be nice if theyd package an extra of all the screws, etc. just in case, but it isnt a big deal.
Happy so far
