Update: little tree sent the new parts and the desk went together fine. Once assembled it is a sturdy desk with a nice finish. However I plan to return it only because it is out of place in my room. I have high end furniture and this desk is out of place. Unfortunately this means I will be buying a very expensive desk that is a better match.

The holes were not aligned correctly for assembly. It is taking forever to get the right pieces sent.
