An earlier reviewer had suggested some ways to alter this day bed to make it the best bed possible / we followed his instructions and are soooo satisfied! However, for 400, I shouldnt have to purchase the things I did. Mostly, it comes with uniformly sized screws / probably to keep the cost low / and you need ones that are 10/15mm shorter for where they point in on the bed. Acorn caps were another thing we purchased to cap off the screws and make SURE they dont ruin the bed we put in it. We did put down the cardboard to level/off the base (other wise, your bed will die very, very fast) and some ribbon to prevent it from sliding out the back.
All in all, a good bed! However, it cant be given 5 stars because, imo, for 400, I shouldnt have to go hunt down different parts and pieces to make it useable.
